emp infra is an investment firm which creates and manages investments and funds for international investors. the firm was established to provide timely investments with a primary focus on power, energy infrastructure, telecom, transportation, shipping and related industrial sectors. we operate from offices in new york, seoul and washington dc, but specialize on transactions and opportunities which involve korean financial and corporate investors. emp global holdings was spun out of emp global in 2014 and established as an independent business by collins roth and daniel yun. mr. roth is a partner at emp global, which is an infrastructure-focused private equity fund manager that has managed over $5 billion of private equity funds since 1994. emp infra subsequently acquired belstar korea, a leading manager of structured credit and private equity funds founded by mr. yun. belstar korea has raised over $1 billion including investments from calpers, kcrc (hong kong government), and over twenty leading korean institutional investors. we thoroughly diligence, develop and manage each fund and investment opportunity. our goal is to participate in a limited number of projects, but to do them exceptionally well.to meet that goal, we draw upon the in-house investment experience of emp global and belstar, and our employees experience at firms such as goldman sachs, blackstone, salomon brothers, kpmg, merrill lynch and lazard. but we also specialize in creating corporate and financial partnerships that draw upon outside expertise of a variety of korean industrial companies, global fund managers and other strategic parties for the benefit of our investors.
