2021: Tomba Founded
Tomba technology web service LLC is founded in Delaware, USA. We begin building the web crawler and email discovery engine that will power the platform.
The Beginning
Tomba technology web service LLC is officially founded in Claymont, Delaware, USA. Our mission from day one: give professionals the power to create new connections with the people that matter.
What We Built in 2021
- Web Crawler v1 Built the first version of our web crawler to discover and index professional email addresses from public sources across the internet
- Email Pattern Detection Developed AI-powered pattern recognition to predict email formats (first.last@, f.last@, etc.) for any company domain
- Data Import Pipeline Created the infrastructure to import, deduplicate, and normalize contact data from multiple public sources
- Email Verification Engine Built real-time SMTP verification to validate email deliverability before returning results
- Database Architecture Designed the scalable database architecture to handle millions of professional contacts
Foundation Decisions
- Privacy-first approach Built GDPR compliance into the core from the start, not as an afterthought
- Pay-per-valid model Decided early that users should only pay for emails that actually work
- API-first design Every feature built as an API endpoint first, UI second
This was the year we laid the foundation for everything that followed. No product launch yet just building, testing, and refining the core technology.
